Mathew 7:7
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. - Matthew 7:7
Sometimes, maybe it's not the situation that needs to change, but our perspective...
"If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for the creator, there is no poverty." - Rainer Maria Rilke

Rocco's Seed Bombs
Rocco will be returning in next month's story with a new skill...
...making seed bombs!
"One day, when Rocco was going about his business, he noticed that flowers bloomed where he normally pooped. Inspecting the ground carefully, Rocco saw many tiny seeds in the soil, which gave him an idea. Rocco scooped up his poop with the soil and molded it into…
a SEED BOMB!"
Find out more about seed bombs in this post. You can even make your own (don't worry, they're not actually made of animal droppings)!

Inspiration from: Guerrilla Gardening
Moss graffiti? Seed bombs? I recently learned about guerrilla gardening on kind over matter and I am in love with the idea. I'm especially in love with Anna Garforth's work:

Faith of a Little Seed
Faith of a Little Seed from Sarah Lee on Vimeo.
This month, instead of a new story, Little Seed has created a music video/cover of Big Tent Revival's Faith of a Little Seed. The lyrics:
Faith of a Little Seed
Big Tent Revival
All it takes, is a little bit of water and sunshine
To make a big tree grow
And every tree, was a little bitty seed at one time
It just takes time, you know
Patiently they lay and hope
And God provides the rest
All we really need, is the faith of a little seed
I never, ever saw a bird go hungry
Singing in the breeze
And the flowers, never was late on Sunday
Prettier than these
And patiently they lay and hope
And God provides the rest
All we really need, is the faith of a little seed
Though I’m sewn in rocky places
There I will abide
Taking root in my Lord Jesus
Knowing He’ll provide
And patiently I lay and hope
And God provides the rest
All we really need, is the faith of a little seed

Proverbs 16:9
"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."
- Proverbs 16:9
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." - Proverbs 19:21
I'm always wondering and asking myself, where will I be in 5 years? 10 years? Then I think of all these future plans and write them down on random pages of my journal, thinking that I will somehow find an answer and solution if I think about it long enough. But I'm learning that I should instead focus on what is in front of me, do what I can do now, and then I'll know what to do next.
"Does it make sense to pray for guidance about the future if we are not obeying in the thing that lies before us today? How many momentous events in Scripture depended on one person's seemingly small act of obedience! Rest assured: Do what God tells you to do now, and depend upon it, you will be shown what to do next." - Elisabeth Elliot
A line from the song that inspired this post:
"Long walks in the dark through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I'm supposed to be. The stars smiled down on me, God answered in silent reverie. I said a prayer and fell asleep."
- Priscilla Ahn, Dream

Colossians 2:7
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. - Colossians 2:7

Inspiration from: Little Things
I recently came across Little Things, a site that simply lists all the things we should appreciate. Here are some of my favorites:
To add my own to the list: when I find a new artist I like on Pandora. If there are other little things you are thankful for, please share! There are so many little things we forget to be grateful for!

Isaiah 65:24 - God answers our prayer
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
- Isaiah 65:24
A lot of times, it seems like God takes a really long time to answer prayers. But this verse points out that God is already working to answer our prayers before we even utter them! Maybe instead of always wanting the answer now, and rushing to reach the destination, we should trust in God's perfect timing and just enjoy the journey with God. Like a good hike - taking in all the scenery and enjoying the company :)
I came across this devotional on nonelikejesus that discusses a different verse, but similar topic. I found it greatly encouraging, and I hope it encourages you as well. My favorite part: "We never know what God is doing behind the scenes, in order that our joy would be made full...Relax. God is in control. He has greater things for you than what you could ask or think!"

Mom's Sayings - Happy Mother's Day!
Mom's Sayings
My mom has always been telling me these sayings since I was a little girl. Even if they're brainwashed into me, I still struggle with some (especially 2, 3 and 6). Her most common sayings:
- Always try your best, even if you don't get the best results
- Sit straight
- Always be humble
- Enjoy every moment
- Be wise like a fox!
- Use your common sense!!
- Always give thanks
- Invite God into every part of your life (when you're drawing, driving, making decisions, etc.)
- Have big dreams
- Give everything up to God, but do your portion to the best of your ability
- Share your blessings, and it will come back to you multiplied
- I love you
For my mom's mother's day gift, I painted Umgie on a garden pot using acrylics, then planted some succulents:
Umgie wanted to get into the shot too:
Happy Mother's Day!

Faith of a Little Seed Cover Preview
This month, instead of a new story, Little Seed will be doing a cover/music video of Big Tent Revival's "Faith of a Little Seed."
Since this is the first time using music and video, I am really not sure how this will turn out. But doesn't hurt to try, right? :) Look out for the video later this month!
