1 Corinthians 12:12-14
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many." - 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
Love how this passage emphasizes the importance of unity and diversity. We all have different strengths and weaknesses, and so we can't all be eyes, or hands, etc. With diversity, the body is healthy and whole. We're all specially equipped to serve the body of Christ!

Inspiration from: Improv Everywhere
I'm inspired by Improv Everywhere, "a New York City-based prank collective that causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places." I love this collective effort of creating fun and making people smile:

Inspiration from: Things We Forget
Things We Forget is a blog that shares messages on "sticky notes left to their fate
in public places each day." Love these stickies:
I always write reminders to myself on stickies, but these stickies contain the real reminders I never want to forget. There are many more good ones at thingsweforget.blogspot.com!

Romans 5:3-4
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. - Romans 5:3-4

Rocco and the Fireflies - Story Summary
"The following nights, the fireflies continued to be dark and absent. As a result, the fireflies grew sadder and weaker."
In the story, Rocco encourages his firefly friends to "stick together." By doing so, the fireflies are able to escape danger and share their light.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." - Mathew 5:14-16

Psalm 112:7-8
He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid... - Psalm 112:7-8
I was dealing with a lot of bad news last week, to the point where I was feeling afraid, confused and weak. Then I came across this verse and I realized that my heart was not being firm. I wanted to be strong, trusting in the Lord, but it was so difficult. But over the next few days, my church community really encouraged me, and I felt their prayers. God brought me healing, and when I prayed, He assured me that He is in control, so I no longer need to be afraid. Through the experience, I realized once again the importance of a faith family, and God's sovereignty. Thanks be to God!

Psalm 108
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Psalm 108:4
God is so faithful. Even though important prayers seem to go unanswered, He uses the little things to remind us that He is always with us, whether it be a small answered prayer or seeing God reflected in other people's lives. I'm reminded again of His unfailing love.
