Rocco and the Fireflies - Story Summary

In this month's story, Rocco and the Fireflies, Rocco helps his firefly friends who can no longer shine their light.

"The following nights, the fireflies continued to be dark and absent. As a result, the fireflies grew sadder and weaker."

In the story, Rocco encourages his firefly friends to "stick together."  By doing so, the fireflies are able to escape danger and share their light.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
- Mathew 5:14-16
