In Memory of Umgie

After almost fifteen years, Umgie was put to sleep last weekend because of her cancer. It is sad and strange not having her around anymore, and the garden feels empty without her. My family and I keep stepping outside, thinking we'll see her greeting us, only to remember that she is no longer there :'(

Umgie was my first dog, constant companion, and inspiration. An early comic of Umgie I made in 2002:

I am grateful for all the joy she brought me and everyone around her. She is loved, and she will be missed - wrinkles, snorts, smiles and all :)
