Mathew 6:25

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Mathew 6:25-34

Let it be

I recently got a pair of budgies/parakeets. The yellow one on the left is Bee, and the blue one on the right is Petri.

There's something about pets...they can cheer and inspire you in their own special way. Here's a little illustration of Bee & Petri.

I'm in the process of training them to be less afraid of me...hopefully they'll come to trust me and make more Little Seed appearances in the future!

Unique LA Holiday Show Recap

Little Seed was at Unique LA last weekend with Woot Factory, and we had an awesome time! We saw many familiar faces, met fellow vendors and customers who were so nice and encouraging, did some holiday shopping and took silly photos at the photo booth. Here are some snapshots of the event:

Everyone loved squishing Katherine's hand felted ornaments
Our goods!
We accepted credit card payments via Square
the place was packed!
A few feet from us, my boss Ian from the USC Design Studio had a booth for his company, Unincorporated, with 50% of their profits going to support US veterans.
Thank you to all who came by! :)
Woot! And lastly...
...one of our silly photo booth photos. We had so much fun - mostly because of all the smiles, great reactions, support and encouragement from everyone who came by. Thank you again!!

Thanksgiving

"I perceived that there is nothing better for them to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil - this is God's gift to man.
- Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

A reminder to be content and take joy in all our blessings... Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hugo's Hit - Story Summary

In the last story, Rocco's Fall, Rocco's mean and evil side came out when he hit his head.

This time, it's Hugo who hits his head and changes from the "nasty" honey badger to the nicest creature around. He even helps ducklings like these:

Hugo's usually the bad guy, but maybe it's possible for someone who is mean on the outside to be kind deep down inside.

DIY: Washi Tape Q.T. Journals

Had the opportunity to make some Q.T. journals with some of my girls over the weekend. A Q.T. (quiet time) journal is for collecting your thoughts during your "quiet" or meditative time reading and studying God's Word. Since Q.T. journals can become very personal, we decided to personalize them from the very start!

Supplies:
• Moleskin Cahier Notebook
• A variety of washi tape
• Scissors
• Stickers or other decorative elements
• A Q.T. guide print out (optional)

1. Began by layering different types of washi tape on both sides of the journal cover

2. Printed and cut "Quiet Time Guides" - Available for download here

3. Taped the "Quiet Time Guide" onto the inside cover of the journal

4. Finished off by trimming the edges and decorating with sticker initials, etc.
