Temporary Tattoos

I love temporary tattoos, and have often thought of making my own. When I had the chance to be a vendor at my church's Mission India Bazaar Night, I took the opportunity to finally make some!

To make the tattoos, all I needed was temporary tattoo paper and my inkjet printer. Make your own Little Seed tattoos with this free download!

This last Saturday, we had our opening reception for "Monsters, Moustaches and Mayhem" at the LA Art Share. I submitted four pieces to the show, including the one below:

It was a fun night of seeing friends, selling prints and postcards, selling a piece (!) and taking silly pictures :) Thanks to all who came by!

Shelf Life 2

This weekend, we were part of USC Roski School of Fine Arts and Visions and Voices' Shelf Life 2, an event featuring an influential group of independent publishers, artists, writers, and designers.

Animated on cinemagram
I was there with Katherine from Woot Factory and AIGA USC
Katherine's felted hearts! <3
Always nice to visit campus :)
My raffle ticket. I didn't win, but it was awesome hearing Chip Kidd's talk and reconnecting with my previous design instructors, other alumni and students. I definitely was inspired by the event...and now I'm even more excited to make more things! :)

Little Seed at Passions for the Nations Conference

Little Seed was invited last weekend to exhibit at Passions for the Nations, a missions conference that seeks to raise up Asian American Christians for the global advancement of God's kingdom.

It was a raining all day, but thankfully we stayed dry!
Digged out an old Mancala board to display the buttons :)
The booth next to Little Seed's were our friends from INHERITANCE
We also made new friends, including Bread + Fish Foundation, a non-profit architectural organization that seeks to glorify God by designing and building spaces for Christ.
Re:new the Response partners with churches to challenge middle school and high school aged teens to renew their faith in Jesus Christ and to provide a venue for them to use their gifts to the full extent of their purpose in Christ.
Re:new also featured Little Seed's ad in their magazine!
Added Rocco to Re:new's doodle board :)
Thank you everyone for your kind comments, questions, feedback and encouragement during the conference! Hope you guys were blessed as much as I was! :)

Custom Greeting Card Giveaway Winners

Thank you everyone for your comments in the custom greeting card giveaway, I really enjoyed reading them all! The following designs are based on the winning comments:

"Want want WANT a card with the sheep (love sheep :o) and some bible verse about sheep!!!" - Viktorija (Viktorija, if you haven't received my email, please contact me.)

"I would really love a card with some sheep by streams of water and pastures, with a stream of light shining from above down on the sheep. And a bible verse, " The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." Psalm 23:1-2" - Sarah Sue

"A few dear friends will be graduating soon, and I would really love to have Rocco the raccoon (because he's too cute like that!) wearing a mortarboard please :) and the accompanying verse to be Proverbs 3:5-6" - Beaconette

"I would like my mom's name (Éva) on the card, saying I love you mom! :)" - Natiiii

Thank you again to all who participated - all the comments were very encouraging and heartwarming <3

Unique LA Holiday Show Recap

Little Seed was at Unique LA last weekend with Woot Factory, and we had an awesome time! We saw many familiar faces, met fellow vendors and customers who were so nice and encouraging, did some holiday shopping and took silly photos at the photo booth. Here are some snapshots of the event:

Everyone loved squishing Katherine's hand felted ornaments
Our goods!
We accepted credit card payments via Square
the place was packed!
A few feet from us, my boss Ian from the USC Design Studio had a booth for his company, Unincorporated, with 50% of their profits going to support US veterans.
Thank you to all who came by! :)
Woot! And lastly...
...one of our silly photo booth photos. We had so much fun - mostly because of all the smiles, great reactions, support and encouragement from everyone who came by. Thank you again!!

The Hill Event

The Hill event hosted by INHERITANCE Magazine was...amazing. It was such a blessing to participate in an event with other groups and individuals with the unified purpose of glorifying God and shining His light. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to participate in The Hill, and for all the encouraging comments Little Seed received - they mean so much. Thank you!!

Little Seed's booth!
The sweet booth next to Little Seed's was kujo, a headband based shop.
It was also so good to see familiar faces again,
like Mike from The Nehemiah Band,
Brandon Bae (who covered Faith of a Little Seed), Key Kim, Bryan Kim
Thank you Katherine for helping me manage Little Seed's booth!
The Nameless (who was also featured in this post)
I think we were all in the same design class at one point at USC.
Fight on!

The Hill event definitely was an answered prayer. Thank you INHERITANCE Magazine for hosting such a great event! The official event photos can be viewed here.
