God's Love

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. - 1 John 4:9-10

God first loved us. Enjoy His love this season! Merry Christmas!

God remains faithful

Here is a trustworthy saying: 

If we died with him, we will also live with him; 

if we endure, we will also reign with him. 

If we disown him, he will also disown us; 

if we are faithless, he remains faithful, 

for he cannot disown himself. 

- 2 Timothy 2:11-13

Even when we don't think about God, He thinks about us. When we are not enjoying God, He is enjoying us. When we are faithless, he remains faithful. 

Temporary Tattoos

I love temporary tattoos, and have often thought of making my own. When I had the chance to be a vendor at my church's Mission India Bazaar Night, I took the opportunity to finally make some!

Believe + Calligraphy

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” - John 6:28-29

The work of God is to believe. It's not about us doing all sorts of things to please God - He is pleased when we simply believe!

Which of the above versions do you prefer? I recently went to a calligraphy workshop taught by Maybelle Imasa Stukuls at Poketo, and I am now in love with calligraphy. Look out for more calligraphy as I (hopefully) improve!

Grace is a gift

It's not about what we do, but what God has done for us!

Abide in me, and I in you

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. John 15:4

For a long time, I thought it was about what I had to do to please God. But I'm realizing that it's not about what we do, but what God has done for us...and will continue to do as we abide and depend on Him!

Believe & Enjoy

Two words that have been on my mind - believe and enjoy. For me, this means believing in what Jesus has done for us, and enjoying His love each day. Believe! Enjoy! :)
