Keep Holding On
Just something that's been on my mind lately... I'm learning to rest in the questions and to just keep holding on.
"But when we shift our questions of doubt to curiosity and reflection, we can gain much more from our experience...We do not have all the answers in life; sometimes all we have is questions. But the questions that we ask can help prepare us in the future. Taking time to rest in questions that inspire growth and reflection will help pave the path down the road where anything may be possible." - Kerry Docherty

Enjoy Every Moment
In honor of Mother's day, I want to share one of my mom's most common sayings, which is, "Enjoy every moment." I thought about the saying recently, when my mom also shared with me 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, which says:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Enjoy every moment. It is so simple, but so easily forgotten! Thank God for moms who know just what to say. Happy Mother's Day!

Found this a little too late for Mother's Day, but here's a similar quote from another mother :)

...by the seeds that you plant

The grass is greener...
"The grass is greener where you water it." - Neil Barringham
I like this twist on the common phrase, "The grass is greener on the other side." That statement is often true, but it's even more true that the harder you try, the better your circumstance! Originally found the quote here.

Let it be
I recently got a pair of budgies/parakeets. The yellow one on the left is Bee, and the blue one on the right is Petri.
There's something about pets...they can cheer and inspire you in their own special way. Here's a little illustration of Bee & Petri.
I'm in the process of training them to be less afraid of me...hopefully they'll come to trust me and make more Little Seed appearances in the future!

My Grandmother
(From Angels)
My grandmother recently passed away peacefully with my family around her singing her favorite hymns.
Though I never had any deep conversations with her due to her quiet nature and a language barrier, she inspired me in the most moving ways. I want to share one story:
It was when I was visiting her in the hospital with my mom. She was having urinary problems, so we had to repeatedly assist her to use the restroom. She also had trouble using her hands, so we had to hand feed her the porridge my mom brought for her. To me, she appeared so weak and helpless in the hospital room. But as soon as we tucked her in after she finished the porridge and made one more visit to the restroom, she sighed and said, "I'm so happy! Thank you God!" Then she started singing praises.
I was so shocked and surprised by what she said. Here I was, complaining earlier that day about petty things in my life while my grandma, in her ill state was able to joyfully sing and give thanks to God.
My grandma was never short on smiles, she was always giving away delicious food she made, so full of love, and her faith...inspiring.
