In this month's story, Rocco and the Fireflies, Rocco helps his firefly friends who can no longer shine their light.
"The following nights, the fireflies continued to be dark and absent. As a result, the fireflies grew sadder and weaker."
In the story, Rocco encourages his firefly friends to "stick together." By doing so, the fireflies are able to escape danger and share their light. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." - Mathew 5:14-16
Hugo is a honey badger who disrupts and bullies those around him. If you haven't already, watch this video on the honey badger (warning: includes coarse language and unsightly images):
"The honey badger doesn't care, it just takes what it wants..." hahah my favorite line!
This story was inspired by a conversation I had with my friend Hanna. She suggested a honey badger character, and her psychologist mind really added a new perspective. Thus, Hugo came into existence :)
Hope you are looking forward to the story! I'm pretty excited about it! The full story post will be up by the end of the month!
"One day, when Rocco was going about his business, he noticed that flowers bloomed where he normally pooped. Inspecting the ground carefully, Rocco saw many tiny seeds in the soil, which gave him an idea. Rocco scooped up his poop with the soil and molded it into… a SEED BOMB!"
Find out more about seed bombs in this post. You can even make your own (don't worry, they're not actually made of animal droppings)!
This month's story, Tory, is about a shy triceratops who discovers he has the potential to be tough and a little less shy.
"Tory was small and shy compared to the larger and more intimidating dinosaurs...in dangerous situations, he always hid behind someone, or followed another’s lead. "
Little Seed's 20th story, Shine, is about a small star that desires to shine. This story is dedicated to my cousin Eunice, who helped develop the story. Thanks Eunice 언니!
"They were overjoyed at seeing the star." - Mathew 2:10
Shine greeting cards will be on sale along with many other holiday items this Saturday, Dec. 11 at our sale!

Pete and Sean

FLY is a story about a young character - Goose Girl, who dreams of flying. This story was inspired by my mentors who repeatedly encourage me to "try flying" and to not be afraid of failing or making mistakes. A sincere thank you to my mentors and anyone who encourages others to fly after their dreams.
Keep Hoping is a story that encourages anyone and everyone to keep doing what they do, and keep hoping in it. This story is dedicated to this year's graduating class of 2010!
Among the many familiar faces is a new character -
As Grady and the girl goes on a search for Grady's family in this sequel to Grady, they are reminded again of the importance of thankfulness and how life can present awesomely unexpected situations.
"Thank you," Grady said to the girl, and as Grady chirped his thanks, a few of his old gray feathers fell away to reveal new, white feathers."
Grady Grows Up was partly inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling and Norman Bridwell's Clifford The Big Red Dog series.
